Artistic approach

My name is Caroline Brousseau and I am a painter from Stanbridge East.  First of all, art is for me a way of living and above all of expressing my emotions.  When I paint, I listen to what I feel and what is happening in me and around me.  The human race fascinates me and I try to colorize the different facets of this mysterious being.  My abstract and semi-abstract works always have as a starting point the creation of an intuitive movement.  From this movement is born a work announcing multiple possibilities. There are then no more limits.  From these natural movements emerge emotions, words, a few sentences and sometimes even texts. I close my eyes and I can see the colors I should use and I feel the energy that the work should give off.  Sometimes, the words are written on my works through my writing or a collage on canvas.  I open myself to the present moment and let the messages that present themselves emerge by following the movements created by my inspiration, like a true meditation.

The works that I offer you are imbued with sweetness, vitality and joy.  My passion for human beings and earthly life is reflected in everything I paint.  I propose, through my paintings, to let yourself be transported into a living emotional universe, translated by movements, words and colors.  Each of my works has its own story to tell.

I dare to believe that the energy that emanates from my paintings could touch those who contemplate them and allow them to remember that although we are all unique human beings, emotions unite us.
