❤️‍🩹 Adapting Too Much ❤️‍🩹
I lost myself, erased, unconsciously.
Gone.
I sink, I crumble, pretending it doesn’t matter.
Forgotten.
I shrink, I swallow what should be spat out,
Trampled.
By adapting too much,
I end up losing myself, disconnecting from my reality, my deepest needs, my essence.
Trying to convince myself it’s not important…
But now I know,
I can adapt, but never to my own detriment.
